Hey Folks!

We’ve got some fun stuff happening this fall and we’d like to let you in on it because we care.

First, we’d like to thank Kevin for continuing to host GOAT Trivia Nights at the taproom! If you haven’t had a chance to test your trivia skills, your next chance is this Thursday, October 4th at 7pm. It’s been a hoot and we’ve added more seating to the taproom, so more room for friendly brain-based competition!

This Friday, we are celebrating Woodlawn Coffee and Pastry’s 8th birthday with a dinner party and beer pairing from 6-9pm. There will be live music, followed by a DJ to close the night with grooves suited for a dancey good time. Tickets are $35, available for purchase at WCP or in our taproom and include 4 beers and all the food you can eat. Buddy Card holders can get a ticket for just $30, so be sure to grab one and make the membership pay for itself! It’s the only place you’ll be able to find our collaborative, celebratory beer; Oatmeal Cookies Cream Ale, made with Gretchen’s famous coconut oatmeal cookies!

Come celebrate by stuffing your face with delicious food, beer, and swag! Well, don’t put the swag in your face. Just around it.

Looking for some righteous FRESH HOP beers? Well you should come to our Arbor Lodge Block Party on October 13th! We teamed up with Blackbird Pizza, Funhouse Brewing, and Long Do Thai Food and more for a righteous party lasting into the night. We’ll have more live music, fresh pizza baked in some sweet Italian ovens outside the taproom, and a merch giveaway!

Every other Wednesday night is Brendan and Brandon’s Open Mic Night, for those of you looking to express yourselves or try out some new material, whether it’s a poem you’ve written, a song you’re working on, or a joke you’d like to share. It’s a great time to stretch those art muscles and see what other humans are doing with their time.

Portland Unknown Film Festival is October 19-20th at Discjecta Contemporary Art Center on N. Interstate Ave! and we brewed a special collaborative beer with them for the event; Unknown Pale Ale made with Loral, Bravo, Citra, and Mosiac hops to celebrate story telling and our shared interest in low budget, analog productions. Get your tickets here and stop in to try our tasty team-up brew!

Keep an eye out for sweet new merch as we get closer to the holiday season, especially you Buddy Card holders.

Be sure to check in on Facebook to learn about some really fun, interested new beers that we’ve got brewing, including two seasonal IPAs; Sweater Weather and Cherry Nose. They go fast, so stay vigilant.

In October we’ll be opening back up the taproom on Tuesdays 5-9pm for the fall season. Occasionally, you’ll be able to catch an Adventures League Dungeons and Dragons session, run by our own bartender and Dungeon Master, Randall! I hear he’s still got some room left at his table, so hit him up if you’re interested in joining the action.

Speaking of Dungeons and Dragons, we’re teaming up with 45th Parallel in St Johns and Doernbecher Children’s Hospital for a mini-figure painting party and toy drive! Bring in a small gift, toy, or prize in its original packaging and sit with our seasoned figure-painters for an afternoon of customizing your own little tabletop adventurer! All you gotta do is make a donation to patients of Doernbecher and you get to take home your own work of art! The nurses at Doernbecher use the new, clean gifts to help ease the lasting trauma of painful procedures the children go through while in the hospital, thus the need for fun items such as matchbox cars, small LEGO sets, nail decorating supplies, and other unused presents.

Brandon will also be there with some blank character sheets and a bag of dice for anyone who wants to go all-in on the idea and make their own playable adventurer. Sounds like fun? Well, you’re right. It’s gonna be a nerd-blast!

Wow. That’s a ton of stuff to do. You’re gonna be busy.

See ya!
