Do you have a RPG character you've been meaning to bring to life? 45th Parallel in St. John’s and Look Long Brewing Company are hosting a Character Creation and Mini-Figure Painting Toy Drive for the patients of Doernbecher Children's Hospital! Here's the deal: you bring in a small sealed prize or toy to donate to the children, and you get your own fantasy mini-figure to paint and take home! This is a perfect chance to those of you who attended our first character creation night to take your new character to the next level; physical representation in three dimensions at an appropriate scale.
One way that the nurses at Doernbecher help their patients during their stay at the hospital is with small prizes and rewards to lessen the trauma and lasting effects that painful procedures can have on the kids. To ensure the safety and cleanliness of the toys given to the patients, they request unused toys still in their original packaging such as: matchbox cars, small LEGO sets, nail polish/supplies, or art supplies.
LLBC will have three beers on tap for the event and your donation will also get you a discounted pint price for the duration of the event. If you’ve already got your own mini to paint, that’s cool, too. There will be some folks hanging around who can help you get going, if you need guidance.
See you there!
